Jesus did not simply call people to know things about Him. He called people to follow Him, obey Him, and help others follow Him too.
The Seven Commands of Christ are a simple disciple-making framework used to help new and growing disciples discover some of the basic commands Jesus gave His followers and begin putting them into practice.
They are not meant to be an exhaustive list of everything Jesus commanded. They are a simple starting point for a life of obedience.

- SAY: What does this passage actually SAY?
- OBEY: What is Jesus asking me to OBEY or put into practice?
- SHARE: Who can I SHARE what I am learning with?
The goal is not merely to know the Commands of Christ. The goal is to obey Jesus and help other people obey Jesus too.

⚠️ Don't turn the Seven Commands into another religious checklist
The Seven Commands are a discipleship tool, not a new law code and not a way of earning salvation.
We are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Obedience is the response of someone who follows Jesus — not the price we pay to make God accept us.
Jesus said: “If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15)
His commands therefore belong in a relationship: Jesus saves us, Jesus leads us, and His disciples learn to obey Him.
